I enjoy diving deep into ideas. I am a problem solver at heart, someone who tends to start with the "why" and then quickly move on to "what if". I have always loved creating, envisioning, and adapting.

One of the things I love the most about computer science is how easy it is to create amazing technology using very little upfront investment. I find it fascinating to think that "the right combination of keystrokes, on the right machine, at the right time, can create the next Windows or Google or Chat GPT."

Outside of sofware and systems, I love being outdoors. I enjoy hiking, backpacking, snowboarding, and long road trips. One of my fondest memories is a 2 week, 3,000 km long, road trip my wife and I took in Europe during Christmas with very little planning.

I'm a firm believer in being relentless in the pursuit of meaningful goals. Life is full of speed bumps, growth often depends on noticing them early and slowing down just enough to navigate them safely.
